what to focus on in your first two years

Ep #038: Those First Two Years In Business

Here are some highlights:

This episode has been inspired by the hundreds – maybe thousands of conversations I have had over the last 10 years of those new business owners, just starting out.  I have experienced those first two years on three different occasions with three different businesses. Talk about been there, done that.

If you are in your first two years of business this is a very important episode for you. And if you are past those first two years… listen in and then share your thoughts in the Referrals Without Asking Facebook group.

There are three areas you need to focus on and nail down early in your business journey so you can stay in business.

There are so many bright shiny objects and different areas you can focus your time and energy in your first two years, but many of them just allow you to hide from the real work that must to done when you are starting out. Because staying in business is the goal.

Here are the three areas we dive into in this episode.

#1. What Are You Selling

#2. Who Are You Selling to

#3. Master Your Finances

You may think you know exactly what I discuss which each of these three areas but I encourage you to listen in for a full understanding. I dive into a few sub-areas in each of these three key areas.

While discussing key #2 – Who are you selling to – I mention a free bonus training you can watch as I show you how to “fill your funnel.” It’s a simple video giving you a visual overview of how to fill your prospect funnel.

You’ll need a password to watch the video – so grab it here and take a look.

In addition to the video training above, here’s another resource that will help you determine what’s working and what’s not working with your Sales Strategy. This exercise will walk you through determining which sources are filling your pipeline/funnel with prospects and give you a formula to follow to determine which are working and which are not.
